Philadelphia
I returned early this morning, around 4am, from my trip to Philadelphia. As it turns out it was actually a trip to New York and New Jersey. Serena and I picked Josh up from work Friday night around 12. We arrive in Philadelphia around 1:00 the next day. We drove into Center City and so far so good. In our exploration of the rest of the city we realized that Philadelphia sucks. It was entirely ghetto and not much else. So we left and went into Jersey to see Serena's sister. She wasn't home so we took the train into New York to see and stay with our friend Sandy.
Sandy took us to a birthday part for En Esch, formally of KMFDM fame, now founding member of Slick Idiot . It was interesting to meet him although I didn't really understand what he said. He mumbles.
On Sunday we returned to New Jersey and hung out with Serena's sister. After spending the night there we left for our trip back to Chicago. I could not be more happy to be home. Chicago is the greatest city that I've seen. I still plan on moving in April, but now that Philadelphia is out, we have some research to do.

Maybe you should try exploring ALL of the city before passing judgment on it.

Well that's impossible without moving there, and from what I saw, that isn't going to happen.

Every time you say Philadelphia sucks, the baby Jesus cries.

I am so sick of Philadelphia I could pass out. I reluctantly moved here a couple years ago and tried to make the best of it and find a job in the city because I thought it would be convenient, living here and all,to be able to take public transpo to work. But alas I couldn't find a job here to save my life,so I've been since working over the bridge in NJ. Now my car is broken down and I can't get around so I'm having to look in the city for jobs again, but Still it's impossible to find anything here. The worst part of it is,the employers don't even give a sht that you are applying, unless you're related to them or have sold your soul to the devil for a high ranking job here. So because these slackers won't even look at me,I'm sentenced to collect measly unemployment checks indefinitely. That's just the tip of the iceberg, but it'll do for now.
