CSS playtime

Well I've changed the layout a lot today. I kept the same color scheme and basic placement. I mostly did this so I could have a clean start with my style sheets. There are now two different styles to choose from on the top; Dark and Lighter. They need some refinement as far as color goes though. Anyway have fun switching between. The site now rights a small cookie to your computer so it remembers which style you prefer. Neat right? Anyway, remember to check them now and again as I'm sure they will be updated. I may even add one with some color.

What is RSS?

Just thought I explain what RSS for those that don't know. Everytime I publish a new entry a xml file is generated that contains the title and the first part of the entry. Then applications or websites can use this file. Why? Simple, I have an application that picks up all the RSS feeds from sites I read a lot and let's me know when there is a new post. I can see the beginning of the post and go to the site if it interests me. It is very handy. It is not just for blogs either. Most news sites have RSS feeds. So this application also keeps me informed of updates to Salon, wired and BBC. The app I use is NetNewsWire. It is a Mac OS X only app I believe, but there are many for the Windows users out there. A quick search on Google is all you need.

RSS

Just added a RSS feed for the site. You can pick it up here. In order to do this, I had to add a title to my posts. I don't really like them. Right now it's the light grey above and to the left. I will have to work on the layout to make it look better. This afternoon maybe.
