Mormons

Recently I read some things by Steve Benson, the grandson of Ezra Benson the president of the Mormon church until his death.

Steve Benson is an ex-mormon and has some interesting insider insight on the church. It is incredibly interesting reading. You don't get to see into the top management of a religion like this very often and I recommend taking the time to learn about the inner workings of the church. It is especially interesting to me as one of my closest friends was raised Mormon and most of her family still practices. I have always thought that the church of LDS was very much like a cult. These stories don't really take that away, but they do help but into perspective what it is like to grow up being taught the "truth". I was raised not so much an atheist, but certainly without religion. I was allowed to view the world through untainted eyes. I will always appreciate my parents for that, no matter what other qualms I may have.
