Strega Nona
One of our neighbors works down the street at Strega Nona's as a sous chef. He was kind enough to cook us up some sample dishes to share as well as comp us our drinks. We ended up spending 3 or 4 hours there.
The place has a nice atmosphere, and it's huge. The food was good but not great. It's a basic red sauce Italian place. I guess that their thinking of redoing the place and turning it more into a bar, which makes all the money as it is anyway. The plan is to just serve a "better" bar food. Those types of places seem popular lately, especially in my neighborhood.
Anyway, a decent night out.
