Death Avoidance

In my apartment we have a white board for writing notes and messages to each other. We all have different schedules so it is the only was to communicate messages with any swiftness.

So this morning I come back from a meeting to find a new note, I'll quote:

Smells like gas by stove.

That's it. Just a fucking note? Don't you try and fix it? Failing that, shouldn't you wake up, at the very least, the guy who's room is next to the stove? If he doesn't die from the carbon monoxide, he could blow himself up when he lights his morning smoke.

It turned out that just the pilot light was out, but it could have been anything. Makes me nervous for the next time there's a leak.
