Earth Berm

Many years ago, before I was born, my maternal grandfather built an underground (earth berm) house in Door County Wisconsin. It's located in Whitefish Bay, a summer vacation spot. It's still there, but is no longer owned by our family. From what I can find out, it was bought 8 or 10 years ago and has remained empty ever since.

The house is incredibly neat. It was built by shaping it out of chicken wire and then spraying it with concrete. Made as two intersecting domes, it includes a huge open loft looking out two stories of glass (the only glass in the building) and a small dark hallway leading deep into the ground. This is all from memory, I've only been inside once as a child. I haven't even seen it from a far for about 10 years.

The reason I bring it up? Well I was hoping to find some info online about it. I was thinking that someone might have made a site about earth berm housing and perhaps mentioned it. I can't find a single thing.

I guess the internet doesn't have all the answers.
