What's that slogan ComEd has been using all summer?

Well it looks like they need to recommit again. Not only was there a couple outages earlier today (which is somewhat expected during the hottest day of the year) but tonight at midnight my power went out. It was out for a minimum of a 5 block radius from what I could see.

It's only 80 degrees now, down from 95, what the fuck are they doing?

Of course I'm lucky. It was only out for about half an hour, compared to the 50 million people last week who where out for 24 hours or more. I guess it's fuck to all the power companies. Here that? Fuck you!

Yeah I like to swear.

What makes it worse is that I was completely unprepared. I have several Mag Lites in my possession, but none with good batteries of course. I didn't have my lighter in my pocket when it happened either, so I had to do a lot of fumbling around to find the good batteries and then my flash light. I was shocked by how dark our apartment was.

Did you ever notice how important electricity is? :-)
