The Bug to Huff

I have a new problem with the Bug. It seems like gas. I just filled the tank up a couple of days ago and now it is almost unbearable to drive.

Time to replace all the fuel lines. The work never stops.

[UPDATE]

Seems I have gas mixing with the oil. Bad news. I'm hoping it's from sitting too long and not something worse. Time to go change the oil.

if you have gas in your oil, one of your heads is cracked???
and if you smell gas when you fill-up,
your tank is leaking!!! some times it's the seal on top where the gas gage go's in on top...

Actually, the most likely culprit for the gas in the oil is the fuel pump. Broken diaphragm. The tank is definitely not leaking, level never drops. It's just old fuel lines that the vapor escapes from. I don't own a bug newer than 73, nor would I ever. It's a 69.

I've had many bugs, I know the usual symptoms.
