Soon to be New Phone
I need to get a new mobile phone, one with a local LA number. I really want the Sony Ericsson T610. I have had some bad luck with my T68i though. Horrible reception, random shutdowns, things like that. Even with all that, I still can't resist Sony Ericsson's good design and iSync integration. I think I'm going to go with Cingular instead of AT&T this time.
I'm blaming the service not the phone (right or wrong).
Tommy (sorry for the family version I'm feeling rather sentimental today), don't go with Cingular. I'm a mobile phone expert - one of my many jobs here at TCV. Your best service will be AT&T or Verizon - and don't get a phone with alot of additional software - the things are painfully slow.

Some others have had the same advice. I think AT&T wins.

Blame the phone. I have the T68i with Tmobile and so does a friend of mine. The phone is awesome, it just has many little annoying flaws. Bad Reception, Random Shutdowns, OS Hangs.
Blech.
