My First Earthquake
I have now experienced my first earthquake. I was sitting at my desk writing an email when it hit. I thought I was getting sick and losing my balance. But when I looked over the chair next to me was swaying a little bit. I went to find someone and everyone was running out of the building. No one seems to have faith that it will stand.
It wasn't very big here in LA, but it turns out it was a 6.5. It was a few hundred miles from here. That's crazy. I still feel a little wheezy and off balance.
You can get more info here.
i guess that was your welcome to the neighborhood! glad to hear you're ok. love, sis

I missed it!! I was in a car this morning and missed the jolt. You are lucky - I had to wait 4 years before my first earthquake - welcome to California!! Hey congratulations on the apartment - if you get a UHaul and come up to Palo Alto one weekend I have a great couch for you and a couple of end tables, and a cocktail table too - I'm getting some new stuff!! Merry Christmas - whats your phone number and address for the family list?
