Direct TV

My new Direct TV setup was installed today. Just in time to, the person who lived here before me finally canceled their cable.

I elected to get a Direct TV Tivo even though I already have one. I used my Tivo with a cable box once, and I vowed to never do that again. Changing channels was painful, and heaven forbid the little IR controllers got moved. The Direct Tivo also allows you to record two things at once, or record one thing and watch live TV at the same time. I love it. Words can't express how I feel.

I did have one scare. The channel guide was horrible, but then I found the place to switch it back to the Tivo style. Much better.

I agree, the DirecTV guide is utterly craptacular in its GUI, I moved back to the TiVo guide immediately. All I can say about it is...I love being able to not have to choose between two shows. TiVo can get them both!

I've had a Tivo for years now, but the Direct Tivo is so much better. Recording two shows at once while watching a third previously recorder one. I'll never miss a show again.

direct tv dish network satellite of the proposed scheme slows the process up, but haven't we already wasted enough time and effort with everyone scrambling direct dish satellite tv through schemes that aren't good enough? What we need telivision dish network direct tv satellite dish directv free dish tv network satellite cable tv cable network dish satellite with this scheme, or any other, is to publish it in two or more widely-read tabloids, dirctv satellite network dish and then take notice of the comments that come in. In my opinion Dish Network has a better Graffical User Interface. I've tried both and that's just the one I like.

Direct TV sucks. Why would anyone want to deal with such a bunch of dishonest jerks? I've had no help with a technical problem other than being shuffled around on the telephone merry-go-round. I hope they go out of business soon.

Direct TV is THE worst company to deal with. I had a Direct TV technician actaully sneak out of my house and not finish the service call. Direct TV would not provide me with an adequate resolution even though they would ackowledge that the tech was wrong. They did absolutely nothing to help the situation.

I called Dish Network to reactivate my account and they are having someone cometo upgrade my old Dish 500 to the Super Dish at no cost to me. They waived the fee for this and to reactivate my account.

There's a big difference in the way they service their customers.

As far as I'm concerned, both Dish Network and DirecTV suck. They don't offer pacific feeds. And it is annoying to have prime time at 5, when I'm not home from work yet. I want my prime time at 8, when it should be. That is why cable rules. They also listen to thier customers and will try to do anything to keep you. With satellite TV, they just say, "ok, bye!".

I get both the east and west coast feeds with DirecTV here in LA.

Direct TV sucks, I am being charged for an account I closed 5 years ago and cancelled. They reported me to the credit beaureau as of having service this years and are now currently f***ing up my credit and refuse to help me. Everytime I call I am shuffled around for around 45 minutes until someone hangs up on me.
