Help!!! My husband has a 67 Chevy Impala 427 that needs some TLC. His friends tease him all the time, wondering if he will ever drive it again. And one buddy asks him often, "Why don't you sell the Chevy to me?" And although my husband laughs it off, I, myself, am tempted to tell him "Yes, please take it and enjoy!" Can you help us keep that classic AND enjoy it at the same time? Sincerely, Donna

My husband have a Mini-Van being as how we have three girls and I knew he didn't like driving that all of the time. We bought him a 1995 Jeep Wrangler Saharra Edition. He was so excited about it and he couldn't wait to fix it up. The only problem is that we work different shifts, he works at night and then he has to tote the girls to back and forth to school at different times and different locations, that he never has the time to attempt anything on it. He desperately wants and needs it to made over. It needs quite a bit of work. Since he is the only male in our family and he is a wonderful dad and husband I think it would be a great gift for him, especially for father's day.

My son just got a 1959 Chevrolet Apache with approximately 70,000 original miles. He wanted a vehicle that no one else had at his high school. He will be graduating with approximately 600 to 700 other students in May 2007. It was hard to find something that no one else has, but I think this truck will do the trick. The problem is that no one we know knows how to teach him to restore or improve the truck and that is what he wants done or wants to do. He is a good boy, plays baseball for the high school team, maintains good grades. We watch your show and need some help.
Thank you

To The Overhaulin' Crew,
My brother has an old Camero (split bumper) that he has wanted to fix up for quite a while. Because he is a pilot, he is away a lot and hasn't had the time he hoped for. How would he apply for a possibility to have makeover done on your show?

My brother just got a 1970 Nova for his graduation and it needs help. He is real excited about the car, but it is not pretty. His dream is to have it fixed just the way he wants it. That may not happen now that he has lost his job. He is so busy trying to find a new job that he can not find the time to work on his car. He stays up all hours of the night on school nights just to work on the car. His dad has a restored 66 chevelle that he loves to drive, when he is allowed. To take his 70 Nova to a car show with his dad is the goal that is ureachable with the car in the shape it is in. Please keep Derik in mind when you are overhaulin your cars. I think he would absolutetly flip out if he was choosen for the show.

THIS IS A DREAM SHE HAS HAD SINCE SHE WAS IN HIGH SCHOOL AND NOW THAT WE HAVE GRANDCHILDREN SHE TELLS THEM ALL ABOUT THE CAR AND PROMISES TO TAKE THEM FOR A RIDE JUST AS SOON AS SHE GETS IT FIXED UP. SHE DID TAKE THE OLDEST GRANDSON FOR A RIDE WHEN SHE FIRST GOT THE CAR, THEY WENT THRU THE CAR WASH AND THEY WERE WETTER THAN THE CAR WHEN THEY GOT HOME. THAT DIDN'T BREAK HER SPIRITS THOUGH SHE STILL TALKS AND DREAMS ABOUT HER CAR EVERYDAY. PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHERE I CAN SIGN UP FOR THE SHOW AND MAKE HER DREAM COME TRUE. I WOULD LOVE TO GIVE HER THIS GIFT FOR OUR 34TH WEDDING ANNIVERSAY JUNE 11.

My husband has a 1982 Mercury Capri 5 litre 4 speed that needs alot of work. It is his baby but unfortunately it is no longer driveable. The transmission is shot not to mention the paint job it needs. It is too bad because our 4 year old son loves to drive in it. He is always asking why they can't go for a drive in Daddy's fast car. It is my husbands dream to have it fixed up so that he can pass it down to his son. Every time we try to fix it something else happens and the money gets spent on that. I have never seen a man so upset that his baby won't see the road this year. What better birthday present would there be then to make his dream finally come true. I would love to know how to apply for your show. I hope to hear from you soon.

I have a wonderful son, Kyle, who will be 21 years old this May. Kyle planned to go away to college when he graduated in 2002. Unfortunately, in his Senior year of H.S., my husband and I were seriouisly injured in an auto accident. Kyle was with us but wasn't hurt. I broke my back and my husband broke his neck. Kyle knew that there were many things that we could no longer do and rather than go away to college he opted to live at home so he could help us, and go to college at LSSU, just 20 minutes away. Kyle works at a local golf course in the summer and goes to school as a full time student the rest of the year. He is the kindest person in the world and is always doing something for somebody else. I often feel guilty that Kyle didn't go away to school like he wanted to, even though I encouraged him to do so and assured him we would be o.k. on our own. He just wouldn't leave us, knowing we needed his help. Kyle has a 1967 Chevy Chevelle Malibu. He has tried every summer to save enough money to have his car repainted and fixed up but just can't seem to get the money together with college expenses and the golf season being so short it Northern Michigan. I would be forever grateful, if you could help me repay my debt of gratitude to my son for everything he has done for us these past 2 1/2 years. Thank you for your consideration.

My "ORIGINAL" Challenge...to you and your team!
My family watches your television show OVERHAULIN' faithfully and we absolutely LOVE it!! (My husband's tongue is usually hanging out by the end of the show.)
My husband recently purchased a 1973 Ford Mustang Convertible (Mach I style body), an original "hot-rod" . We have seen how you are able to turn old cars into "hot-rods" but are you able to restore to the "original" condition in a such a short scheduled period as well???
I challenge you to find out. Using my husbands convertible...
I know that you can use the original numbers from Ford and get the original color schemes, what a great challenge this would make for your team!! There weren't that many made to begin with, one restored to her original condition would be a real BEAUTY!!
The car hasn't ever really been put through her paces, she only has 74,000 original miles BUT her 351 Cleveland engine is just exhausted. She is currently dead in the garage.

Hi my name is Cindy Mathews, My husband has a 1978 Dodge Ramcharger. We bought it new shortly after we were married in 1977. My husband grew up with very little in his life as he came from a family of 9 children. He worked on a bread route and cleaned a church starting at 9 years old with a man that took him under his wing. He had very good work ethics and worked very hard for everything he had. I married him when he was 22 years old and he had a 1972 Chevelle that was his pride and joy. He has always kept his vehicle immaculate. As we found out that we were going to start a family he sold his Chevelle and bought the 1978 Ramcharger I am going to tell you about. We tease that it is the glue that holds the marriage together since we have had it through out the whole marriage. My husband unfortunately suffered a Heart Attack in February 2002 1 day before our 25th wedding anniversary. And has suffered from chrons disease and inflamatory bowel disease that is very dibilitating. As a result he has been out of work for a year and a half. I believe having his Ramcharger overhauled would be a great boost to his health and outlook on life and sometimes his illness leaves him feeling hopeless. His ramcharger has been kept in pretty amazing shape but could certainly use some work. I would appreciate this so much and I know he would be so appreciative as well. Because as he watches the show he mentions how awesome that would be to have the ramcharger done. I think he is an incredible human being and would love some happiness to come to him.
Sincerely, Cindy Mathews

Hello,
My name is Lynn, and I'm writing on behalf of my husband. He has two vehicles that he was working on,but unfortunatly he has become disabled. One was a 65 Mustang 2+2 the other is a 79 Chevy Pick-up [step side]. He could use a little help on one of them. We are raising our 12 year old daughter, and SSI does not go to far. If you could find it in your hearts to help a little bit that would be wonderful. He is turning 50 in June and that would be the nicest gift I could give him. He never asks for anything for himself it's always for someone else.He was a volunteer Firefighter/EMT,coached many youth sports activaties, and help with local groups that help the needy once again never asking for himself.
Thank you for at least listening to me. Hope to hear from you ,but please don't let my husband know. Thanks again.

My boyfriend is desperatly in need of a car makeover. He is currently driving a 1988 mazda 626 hatch back that is very bad condition. He is a full time student at Chowan College. He is a football player and working two jobs to desperatly pay for a little fixing up on his car. He would have to work and save for about 10 years constantly in order to begin a makeover. He really deserves this because he aways looks out for others instead of himself. His birthday is June 11 and this would be the best gift that I could ever give to him. I love him and only want make him happy.

My husband has a 1936 Plymouth that he's been wanting to redo since he was 18 years old. He's now 64. Everytime he got the extra money ahead to redo the "Olive" (his name for the car since it's olive green) something more important seemed to eat up the extra funds. I sure would love to see the crew from Overhaulin turn my husband's first car into his dream come true. Please consider taking on this challenge in the real near future.

My husband has a 1995 Mustang GT. He cherishes this car. This car is nothing more than a money pit. It has a good engine but constantly has problems with the transmission and clutch. Although he replaces these parts at least once every year, he refuses to get rid of it. My husband is a soldier in the 82nd Airborne Division at FT Bragg, North Carolina. Since July of 2002 til present he has served in two wars. Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan and Operation Iraqi Freedom in Iraq. He just returned from Iraq on the 3rd of April, so of course he s back at it again. My husand needs help! His beloved Mustang needs a makeover inside and out. He has a dent in the rear bumper and taillight of the car, because he backed into a pole and is too cheap to pay to have it repaired. The front driver seat is like a rocking chair. You have to hold on to the gear shifter to avoid rocking back to the back seat while shifting. He and one of his friends put an after market exhaust on the car...flowmaster..It make it sound good..but it is too loud, and it makes a rattling noise on the rear passenger side. This is also because he was too cheap to get a professional to install it. He was looking at some new springs for the car to make it sit lower, but of course my husband was too cheap for that as well, so it took it to some shade tree mechanic and let the guy heat or cut the coils to the car to make it lower. So not only is it sitting practically on the ground, while you are riding it it, every little bump makes you feel like you are sitting in a pop corn popper. Our childern love riding in it because it is like a ride at the amusement park. These are just some small cosmetic issues. My husband wants his mustang GT to be a 95 Cobra R. So he ordered a Cobra front clip for the car as well as a cobra bumper ONLY AFTER he had an accident and had to replace the parts anyway. He also removed the GT emblems on the car and added cobra emblems. BUT this is NOT a cobbra and it defintely don't run like a Cobra. While my husband was gone I had to drive his car every now and then so the battery would not go dead. Well everytime I drove it I PRAYED, that it would not leave me stranded. The gears grind while shifting, it makes a grinding noise and it sounds like SOMETHING is just going to fall out of the bottom of the car. My husband holds onto this car because he figures that one of these days when he makes his millions, he will be able to do everything that he wants to this car. As I said this car is a 95 and it only has 42,000 miles because it is parked most of the time due to needed repairs. He has had the car for 7 years and for this entire 7 years I have heard year after year of what he is going to do this car. Flow masters that do not rattle..Tremec transmission, Eibach springs and a Vortec S-trim supercharger with 500 rear wheel horsepower. Well as far as the horsepower goes, I think the main focus should be making this thing run without breaking down on the way to the grocery store. These are only a few things that my husband talks about concerning this car. Please help me help my husband! After seven years of doing so much of nothing with this car, I honestly do believe that he and his car needs professional help. If you could help my husband, I would greatly appreciate it. Being a Veteran my self I love and respect my husband for what he has done and is continuing to do for our country. Furthermore, my husband has been in the Army now for 13years so he has developed quite an attitude and I would love to see you guys play a joke on him about his car! Seeing him freak out about that car..WOULD MAKE ME HAPPY!!!!

I have a grandson that has really had a bad streak of luck in the past 4 or 5 years. He is the father of a lovely 9 year old daughter that he has not been able to see for the last 5 years, because of the high child care payments and cost of traveling. She lives with her mother in Minnesota. He also has a son that lives near him that he pays child care on as well. He has had many health problems due the stress of his situation. He has 2 old vehiciles that are not safe to be driving but he can't afford anything else right now. One is a 1968 Ford 1/2 ton pick up. The other is a 1990 Jeep that does not run. It would be so neat if he could get one of them fixed. He really needs a boost and this would give him a safe car to drive as well.

My husband has this El Camino I'm not sure what year it is, but I sure do know it definately needs a makeover, he's been trying for so long to be able to fix it and just can't seem to do so due to our financial situation. I have been disabled for awhile and can't really help much, but I could try to get his car overhauled, it would be his dream come true!! My Father has a beautiful 1967 Lincoln 2 Dr hardtop all original except for the wheels. He is always talking about getting it all tricked out for the shows he attends. He loves all his cars but this one is special because it took him over 18 years to talk the original owner out of it. Dad has owned it for 2 years now and it has won every show it has been entered in, original class though. Dad needs an uplift right now because his show Corvette was stolen 8 weeks ago and they haven't found it yet. Getting his Lincoln all tricked out might just help him deal with the rest of the year. Dad is going to HongKong for a few weeks in June and July. Summer Break at Oklahoma State University where he teaches. If you need pictures of the Lincoln please let me know.

Tommy,
Thank you so very much for keeping these responses up. You see, my car (a 1994 For- jk).
P.S. You're the #1 pagerank of AOL's search engine, too (although it's really just Google), so that might explain something.

Found this via A Whole Lotta Nothing. If someone were to read the post, they'd realize you are not the show. If they were to read through the posts, they'd realize again that you are not the show. But people, idiots as always, continue to post. Thanks for bringing some humor to my day.

I love your show on TV! I think it's brilliant. Do you really do all that crazy magical stuff in real life too?
I can't be bothered to check out the official website for the show, for no particular reason. I dunno why, it just seems like too much work, and that would also hurt my brain. I'd rather just write you via this blog, as it's much more entertaining, and I can give all the lurid details of my questions.
Say hi to Uncle Fester for me.

First. I understand that this is not the official show site. I think its amusing the traffic you're getting...
Now, CarmenZ... As a boyfriend and proud owner of a 1980 Datsun 510 (Brown and crumpled) I'd like to know your mindset.
I've had this car for about 8 years now. Bought it for 100 bucks, and have had to do nothing but put in a radiator that I picked up from a junkyard.
I swore that I'd drive it till it broke, then I'd take out the loose change, remove the license plates, and hitchhike home...
My question for CarmenZ is how do I prevent my girlfriend from destroying my car before its able to reach its natural end? I mean, she HATES it. I can't watch it all the time... I suppose I could sleep in it, and I suppose that that *would* pretty much end the girlfriend problem, but I'd like to keep both girlfriend and car if possible.
If you were to try to destroy your boyfriends Datsun (hypothetically, of course), how would you go about it? Could you make me a list? And it would be extremely helpful if you could cross reference that with a way of thwarting each attempt.
Many thanks!

How do we get in touch with you about having the ugliest truck in the south overhauled. My husband has been working on it tiny bits at a time and it is still ugly and runs like crap! He loves it and won't get rid of it. It's a chevy pickup (1966 stepside). I call it the pumpkin because of the different shades of orange it is.
CAN YOU PLEASE HELP!!! I keep teasing that with it sitting in the driveway it's depreciating the property value, ha!ha! We have 3 kids and one of them is having to see specialist due to a rare health condition. Our funds are barely getting us by and this upcoming year we were gonna repaint the "pumpkin" but that dream is on hold, yet again!
PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks a bunch! You guys are the bomb!

Dear Maury,
My husband just purchased our first car, a 1893 Villatrox Busgbee-Billabond. The problems is the Billabond. It needs thrice hogshead of capricoil to churn, and manually churning takes too much time in the mornings that I am often late for work. We have a lot of butter we can give you as payment if you can restore this beauty of an auto-buggery.

Thanks!

Okay, okay, so it's easy to make fun of all the eejits who don't realize that this is *not* the overhaulin' website. Easy, and fun, especially when you see "gawd you're stupid" posts followed by "my dad needs his truck fixed."
But the other things that strike me...
1. The *kinds* of cars that people are asking to have fixed. 71 Datsun 510? Okay, an important car, in some sense (as in it didn't suck quite as badly as previous japanese efforts...), but no important than, say, a faded lemon yellow '78 Subaru BRAT... But a brown/cream 1977 Buick Century? Come ON! What are you going to do, paint it to match your beige townhome, with matching beige leather interior and beige golden retriever to match? How beige can you get? Put this piece of shit out of everybody else's misery before somebody runs you off the road! Please! Somebody might be stuck behind you on a corner someday, and may get seasick watching your boat wallow... think of the public health implications of driving something that... brown... and ugly... in full view... have you no decency?
2. Most of the postings were from women. Women who actually knew a fair bit about the cars, and wanted their men to be happy. Good Men who Provide for their Family, Men who don't get to Have Fun. Damn, it's good to see women appreciating that, and trying to get their men some testosterone-related happiness. Course if they did get the cars redone, they'd probably drop a couple hundred on baskets and dried flowers at the local craft shops, but that's besides the point. Bravo, ladies- you clearly care about your men. Who says the American family is dead? Not I. As long as some women is yellin' "Ma husband needs hiyuuus '49 studebaker feyuuxed" from an Arkansas web cafe, there's hope for moral rectitude, kindness, and culture in this country.
Just as long as the car's not brown...

If you want to apply for the show, go to this link: http://tlc.discovery.com/fansites/overhaulin/geton/geton.html
Notice, it's the real site.
My personal thoughts on this, however are that none of you that apply will be accepted because I'm sure they must have some sort of intelligence requirement in order to keep things interesting and keep the lucky contestant from drooling all over himself. Judging by these posts, none of you have a god damned brain.

Dear Overhaulin:
I have a great idea for a new show. You set up a website, randomly mention the name of a TV show (Overhaulin', Maury Povitch, etc.) and then confiscate the computer of any doofus who writes in wanting to be on the show. It could be great TV and the world would be a better place. Plus, with all the money you make you could pimp out my '99 Toyota Solara.
Thank you, God bless you, and say hello to Connie for me.

It's really sad at how many sites get comments like this. Do people just not read? Or do they just not comprehend the meaning of the words?
I was just at a site where a guy posted a blog entry about going to the Maury show and there were dozens upon dozens of comments where people were trying to get on the show.
How does this happen? It's a pretty depressing comment on humanity if so many people would not understand the content of the original posting.

My son has a 2002 Dodge Dakota CC and he has tryed so hard to do it up but he dose not have the money or the know how to do it up the way he would like it. He has put a lot of money in to it so far but it dose not put out the way he was looking for he is running a 3.9L v6 and he put a Vortech supercharger on it and it will not do what he would love it to do spin the tiers.
This truck is his love of life and he would go over the top if some one took his truck but it so if you think you can do somthing with this truck you would have you work cut out for you i have not seen a Dakota done up on any show so i think this would be a good Dakota to put on you show if you think so let me know and i will see if i can get the truck off him for the week tell him that it is going in for some call back work or somthing like that.
Well thanks for looking at my post and if you think you can do this let me know

There is no one like my Richard. (Picture) John Wayne, Michael Landon, and Arnold Schwarzenegger all rolled into one man and you have Richard Tupy. He asks for nothing and will help anyone, at anytime regardless of who they are. Dear Overhaulin,
What a show you folks have put together. Best show on TV and beats out the HBO series stuff hands down. Chip Foose and crew are masters at what they do on OverHaulin. I have done a 1949 Chevy 1/2 ton pickup, but not to the level nor speed Chip and crew can take things. I am offering my sons 1962 Chevy Imapla as one of your next challanges. Car sat for 15 years in a barn in Utah but still has its dents, dings and needs Overhauled. Since my son is out of state, the stolen car theme could be replaced with I totaled it driving it to the car wash. Again Thanks for a SUPER show.

OK, this is about the original comment, I don't have a car I want OVERHAULED. If I did, I'd go to the TLC site.
My comment is about the show itself. I love to watch the cars being worked on, but the "prank" part of the show is SO LAME!
Take the episode where the Camero that the 90210 star owned. At the end Jason Preistly called him, tells him it's a prank for a TV show and leaves him out there for like 5 minutes! If when he called, he referenced the other car show he's on RIDES, he could have said he had this cool car he's profiling in the shop and let him drool over it. Then he springs it on the mark that it's HIS CAR!
If they are doing a version of "Punked" with the Pimp my ride angle, they need to get the prank aspect more together!

Hey there Overhaulin' crew,
My friend Han has this total rust bucket Corellian freighter he's been banging on for the last couple of years. He's put a lot of money (not to mention a lot of BOTH of our time) into souping up the engines and weaponry. The end result is good enough to do the Kessel run in under 12 parsecs - he's really proud of that (just ask him).
The problem is, he hasn't done anything about the appearance of the Falcon. She's a great ship and handles like a dream, but she won't win any beauty contests. Han's a little tight on cash after the last round of upgrades (not to mention some unsettled debts with unsavory characters), so he's put his upgrades off for a while - the perfect time for some Overhaulin'! We both love your show and watch it whenever we're in the quadrant. We can tell him that his friend Lando (the original owner) borrowed it and got into an accident - he'd totally buy that.
You could put on new body work, maybe a spoiler, fix the hyperdrive (tends to be fractious when the Imperium's about) - the possibilities are endless. If you need pictures let me know. Thanks!

I need your help. I have a 2003 Ford Focus. Recently I expanded it's size by adding a PT Cruiser to the side at high velocity. Now neither of the cars run. Can you please help me make both cars run. I think it would be cool to have one of the cars handle steering, and the other handle propulsion. There aren't a lot of cars out there that require two drivers. I want one. If you make this happen, I promise to make this site my homepage.
Yours in Christ,

This is the funniest thing I've seen in... a long time.

TO THE OVERHAULIN' CREW:
I'M SURE THAT YOU CONSTANTLY GET SOB STORIES ABOUT WHY SOMEONE NEEDS YOUR HELP WITH A LOVED ONES VEHICLE.SO......I'M GOING TO ADD MINE IN THE HOPES THAT I GET LUCKY AND STICK OUT IN YOUR MIND.
MY HUSBAND AND I MET 10 YEARS AGO. HE DROVE A 1984 CHEVY TRUCK THAT LOOKED LIKE IT HAD LEPROSY. HE CONVINCED ME THAT IT WAS JUST HIS "FARM TRUCK". HIS GOOD ONE WAS IN THE SHOP. I KNEW BETTER, BUT WAS ALREADY HEAD OVER HEELS IN LOVE WITH HIM AND MARRIED HIM ANYWAY.
HE ENDED UP SELLING IT BECAUSE WE COULDN'T AFFORD TO WORK ON IT. HE FOUND ANOTHER SIMILIAR TRUCK THAT RAN A LITTLE BETTER, BUT EVENTUALLY IT WAS SOLD, TOO.
I HAVE NEVER KNOWN HIM TO DRIVE ANYTHING RELIABLE. HE MAKES SURE THAT I DO SINCE THE KIDS ARE USUALLY IN MY VEHICLES, BUT I WISH JUST ONCE HIS DREAMS COULD COME TRUE SINCE HE HAS GIVEN UP SO MUCH FOR US. OUR 4 YR OLD DAUGHTER HAS HAD 4 EYE SURGERIES THAT ALWAYS END UP TAKING THE SAVINGS WE HAVE SAVED UP TO FIX HIS TRUCK. SHE WILL CONTINUE TO HAVE THESE SURGERIES EVERY 18 MONTHS UNTIL MATURITY.
HE HAS ALWAYS REGRETTED SELLING HIS "LEPROSY" TRUCK BECAUSE NO OTHER PICKUP EVERY "FIT" HIM. HOWEVER, HE NOW HAS A 1991 FORD SINGLE CAB 4X4 THAT HE LOVES, BUT IT HAS REAREND PROBLEMS AND DIESEL MOTOR PROBLEMS, ETC. NEVERTHELESS, IT FITS HIM.
I WOULD LOVE NOTHING MORE THAN TO SEE THAT PICKUP FIXED UP AND RUNNING RIGHT (RELIABLE). HE SO DESERVES THIS. HE IS A VERY UNSELFISH MAN THAT GIVES EVERYTHING HE HAS TO HIS FAMILY. HE WORKS ALL THE OVERTIME HE CAN GET AT A FACTORY, THEN HAULS HAY, WELDS, BUILDS FENCES, ETC TO GIVE US THE NECESSITIES.
PLEASE HELP.......HE LOVES YOUR SHOW (HE IS A MECHANIC BY TRADE) AND IS AMAZED HOW WELL YOU PULL TOGETHER AS A TEAM AND GET SO MUCH DONE SO QUICKLY.
THANKS FOR READING THIS. WISH HIM LUCK!!!!!

Me and my husband love your show. Your designs on the show are so neat; especially the one with the stars on the Ford Explorer. Our 10th year anniversary was on May 6th, 2004 and I thought it would be a neat idea if I could surprise my husband with getting his 1990 Jeep Cherokee overhauled. It is looking quit shabby these days. The Jeep needs a whole new look inside and out. Please let this dream come true to make my husband really happy. He does so much for our family that he really deserves this.

We LOVE your show! My husband has a 67 ford ranger F250 that is in major need of your help.
My husband Dave has been in the Navy for 18 years. He has been your ideal sailor and is very respected by everyone he works with. He has recently been diagnosed with kidney disease and is scheduled to have his biopsy done June 10th. His biggest dream right now is to overhaul his truck with a Harley Davidson theme. I'm not asking for sympothy, I just want you to know his situation. He is the best father and husband anyone could ask for. We will be married 10 years in September and we have 2 wonderful kids. He has sacrificed so much for myself and the kids, I would love to give him the OVERHAULIN he deserves.
Thank You,
Toni Duncan

I been watching the show"Pimp My Ride" And a friend said you guys do the same thing here in Florida. I'm 14 yr, and I have Spina Bifida, I have to get around in a wheel chair. I saw a music video where there was a wheel chair that had Spinners on it. I really would like to have spinners on my wheel chair cause then I'd be the coolest kid in my school, and a t.v in our van so I wouldn't get bored, and maybe an X-Box game too. So if you ever did a show for a handicapped kid please think of me.

Hey Overhaulin, I'm an American moron. Would you overhaul my rotten grey matter?
Posted by: G. W. at June 2, 2004 05:17 AM
It sounds like you have everyone wanting you to do their "special vehicle". I'm no exception. My husband bought a 1966 Chevy 1/2 ton 4X4 short bed, fleetside, large rear window in rear- pickup for my son. He purchased this in Boise Id. in 1996. He found a shop there where 2 men worked on cars doing engine work and body work. They came up with a contract and he took the truck to them. Several thousand dollars later they still had not put a dent in the work they had promised to do. We were moving back to Ok. a year and a half later and still did not have the truck. We had to hire a lawyer to get the truck back from them. Seems the law was on the criminals side. We drove home 1500 miles with the truck on a trailer. We stored the truck until a yr and a half ago. A man my husband works with agreed to do the refurbishing. He has a small shop at his home. At the time our son was 14 so my husband told him there was no hurry to get the truck done, just have it done for his 16th birthday, July 1, 2004. No problem! right! It's now down to the wire and he is no where near having it ready. My husband just helped him last night put in a brand new rear window. The truck is becoming a true money pit. And we don't get anywhere closer. It has caused us many fights. I know my husbands heart was in the right place but I can't help but feel we are never going to see this truck finished and we are running out of money! We live in a small town and can't find anyone that's willing to take this on. My son is so proud of this truck and he is thinking he is getting it for his birthday. I know that can't happen now as things are.
The truck is truly awesome looking, you can just see how cool it would look finished. It looks tough! Just like Tim the Tool man would say urr urr to! Josh is sure it's a chick magnet! And I think if finished he's right. Josh is a good kid, he does well in school and I'd love to be able to give him this truck to show him how much we love him and how proud of him we are.
Can you please consider doing this project on your show? Pleeeeeze? We can pay if need be. I would just love to surprise my son and husband and then maybe we could get on with our lives! If you'd like I can send pictures. I won't be breathing until I hear from someone on the show, so please hurry up and write back!

Here is another letter pleading you to overhaul yet another car. My son has wanted a car since he was 10 yrs. old. A few thousand bucks was just too much for him to change everything. He found a 1955 Chevy 210 4-door for $800.00. He is now 16 yrs. old. Its a bit discouraging to know that all the money he earns each summer will go to this car. He's willing to make the sacrifice. He can't have another car for transportation either. This is going to be his SHOW CAR. He's taken off seats, hoods, rubber molding, front windshield, and grill. He has it in the garage until he gets the money to start from the bottom to the top. We live in Sandusky Ohio....a long way from you. I can send pictures of this treasure. There are days he works so long in the garage that I think I'll find him sleeping in it. This would be a dream come true for him. Dreams can come true with a business like you. Want to be a DREAMMAKER?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I did not insult people on their "grammar mistakes, and the like". (You got me on the stupidity part though.) At any rate, while "was" is not an entirely correct conjugate, it is also not a grammatical error. Even if it was incorrect, I do not see how that has any bearing on the issue at hand. Only someone a few nuts short of a trail mix could possibly mistake this for a legitimate TV show website. On the other hand, it’s pretty easy to mess up verb conjugation. Its one of the most common mistakes made in the English language.

ATTENTION: NON-IDIOTS
Ok, to all of you people with a reading comprehension level above that of a 3 year old. Here is an evil prank I thought up but don't have the time to implement myself.
Read through these people's requests and begin email correspondence with them. The goal is to somehow fool them into thinking that they will be on the show. Make them jump through hoops and document it all. Some ideas:
- Request that they bring the vehicle to some location near you (if you happen to live near them) for an 'inspection'. Then photograph them waiting around like idiots. Maybe yell something at them from a moving car as you snap their picture...
- Request that they send you pictures of the vehicle. Begin with a basic pic, then make more requests, each more bizarre than the next. i.e. "We're considering taking the show in a sexy direction. Please take a pic of yourself on the hood wearing lingerie."
- Have them fill out a multiple choice questionnaire filled with strange, probing inquiries. i.e. "Have you ever been sexually molested by a relative?" Explain that the lawyers need in-depth personality profiles before putting anyone on the show.
This is your mission. Once completed these are the next steps to follow:
1. Start a website called www.overhaulinidiots.com and post everything you have compiled from these pranks.
2. ?????
3. Profit!!!

I just watched this show for the first time last night, it was amazing what you all did with that
Elcomino. I have a son, he just got a 1993 Ford
Explorer. I would love to be able to play a trick
like that on him. He is a good kid with all of the
insecurities most teenagers have these days. It would be a great boost if something like this ever
happened to him. Again, it is a great show.

I am the proud owner of a 69 charger that is falling aprart due to nasty Maine winter. I hired my buddy to restore it,...6 years ago. 00ps, he still has it parked in his driveway...under a basketball hoop. Help, can you steal it from him. torture him for...6 years maybe. I have been trying to get this car restored for 14 years, but I like sex too much, OOPS... four children later I have made no progress. DAMN! HOw do I sign up for this show??? P.S. you always do CHEVY'S, would you like to try your hand at a MOPAR for a change?

My car may be nothing to special anyone else but it is one of those cars that you love for the right reason. I have never been in a more comfortable car. I own a 1983 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Royale Brougham. There are some many good qualities about this car especially the fact that it only has 60,000 original miles to it. It's reliable, performs well, and most of all comfortable. The inside consits of embriodered double cushion seats. Amazing comfort. The only bad thing is it's appearance. Not because the car was made ugly but being as old as it is, it could use a few improvements. I was wondering if you could suggest any improvments for performance, sound, and style. Thank You.

I MAY BE JUST ANOTHER CUSTOMER TO THE TV SHOW THAT EVERY BODY SEE'S AND DREAMS OF SOME DAY HAVEING THEIR CAR COMPLETED. I HAVE ENJOYED CARS ALL MY LIFE AND I'AM SHOWING MY SON TO ENJOY THEM ALSO. BUT EDUCATION IS FRIST IN MY BOOK, WELL I DIDN'T HAVE A BOOK BUT I HAVE MAKING SURE THAT THE KIDS DO. I HAVE A 1964 CHEVY IMPALA THAT BEEN SETTING IN MY BACK YARD FOR YEARS . THIS HAS BEEN A DREAM FOR ME BUT WITH EVERYTHING ELSE AND LIKE EVERYBODY ELSE IN THE COUNTRY, THINGS COME UP AND YOU HAVE TO PUT THE CAR IN THE BACK BURNER. BUT I WOULD LOVE TO GET THIS THING COMPLETED TO BRING IT TO THE CHEVY LOVING PEOPLE THAT THE 1964 CHEVY IMPALA IS NOT A LOW RIDER THAT ITS NOT BOUNCING UP AND DOWN THE ROAD. SHOW IT LIKE A REAL AMERICAN BUILT CAR, SO IF POSSIABLE ITS YOURS TO COMPLETE.( A REAL CAR TO BE SHOWN ) THX RUDY

Yikes! Everyone wants you to overhaul their car. Can't imagine why you'd choose my son's except that it would certainly put ALL of your best skills to the test. My husband and I bought our son his dream car for $1500. An 85 red Mazda RX7 -hadn't been driven for about 8 or 9 years. We foolishly thought we could get it running . . . Well about another $1200 later, it's still sitting on our driveway. It is a pretty cool looking car, but what do I know? Anyway, the chances of you reading this are next to nil, but what have I got to lose but the few seconds it will take me to write this? I'm the mom - my son's name is Zac. He absolutely loves this car and truly believes someday he'll have it running, etc. In the meantime, it's just sitting there. It has a rotary engine - 12 something. Anyway, that's it. But if you are intereseted . . .email me. Thanks! Zac's mom

My sons and husband love your show. I liked the show where you overhauled the teenage kid's truck. I thought about my oldest child who is turning sixteen and he is getting my husbands old 1989 chevy truck. If you would like to come to Oklahoma sometime and do a show on Overhaulin' we would be so excited. We can hardly aford his insurance much less fixing up a truck.

That would be real nice if it is free my daughter would go crazy if you pick her car because her car is not working and she needs it to go to college we are from Brownsville, Texas and she goes to college in Edingburg,Texas which is an hour away from Brownsville, Texas so you could imagine how far it is from us we are a low income family so if you are interested in our car please email me at rosa1868@aol.com her car is an elantra 95 it does not work doors don't open does not have ac shakes alot ect.,ect. Hey I have a hugh favor to ask I know their are so many people who want to be overhauled, but I have a very special person who desirves this more than anything. He does not ask for much in life but his car means everything to him. He is a hard worker and goes to school and builds ships for the Navy. He is my husband and the father of my three children . He is extremly special the way that he has taken on two of out of three of my children as his own eventhough they are not. One of them he has adopted and given her his name. The other one he loves and treats as his own. I think he is a great MAN for taking on this responsiblity for some other mans kids that he could not handle. He recently was in a car accident and it has some work that needs to be done. It is a 2000 Toyota Corolla. It has 80,000 miles on it.He works really hard and would love to fix it up but we just don't have the money with three kids and both of us going to school full time we just do not have the money. He so desirves this oppritunity to be overhauled. He desirves to have something that he can be very proud of and to show him how much he is appreciated. We have only been married two and a half years but been together for 5 to 6 years. He was in the military until he got out to be with me durning my pregnancy because of the problems that I had with our son plus he got stabbed and could not finish his military career. I love him so much. Please choose him.

Ok-I personnaly Watched Your Show-it was awesome I am The queen of pulling off the good pranks- my husband has a 69 toyota land cruiser-ya know all of his buddies see him drive it-he finally got a break job from liquid off road sending the parts-buy oh my god it needs so much more.....
He drives the death Machine (as I call it) I realy love my husband and dont like him driving this in the condition it is. He has sacrifiesd all these years and giving me the good vehicle to drive I love him and want him to have the best....We never had parents or backup in our life....We pay our taxes and work our asses off just to try and pay the bills...No money for restoration...I would really appreciate if you considerd this as a project for someone that works his ass off (13 hours a day) and is truly an american....I would be willing to act like his landcruiser was stolen....I honestly think this would be one of your best shows-Scott is a trip and the emotion he can show will be revealed. So if you can preview if you can-you can even call his work he is the hardest worker out their.....

Hi Overhaulin staff:
I would like to add my wonderful husband to overhaulin his 1957 Chevy for your wonderful show. He watches the show every change he can when he is not working. He puts in alot of overtime at work, we have 2 daughters, one is having a wedding (2005) and the other paying college tuition to pay for these next 3 years. He also says that he will start working on the car and something else comes up. He always puts his family first and puts the chevy on hold. I really wish I can help him make his dream come true and have the chevy on the road for him to enjoy. He is 51 years old. His dream of getting it restored would make him happy. Going to all these car shows and seeing all the restore vehicles (he says "one day")but his is still sitting in the gargage.
Thank you for reading my story.

I never did watch your show up until today, well I was flipping through the channels I seen your show on and figured I would find out what is so great about your show so my husband watches it sooo much, and I didn't turn the channel until now, I really liked the fact that you have alot of humor going on, but here is my wish and a really BIG one at that!
about 10 years ago I bought a 81 Chevy Camero from a friend of mine, it wasn't running right and was too much of a hassle, and since I've always wanted a Camero, that was my chance to have one and it was also the first car i would own, well.... it ran for awhile, soon after 1 thing, after another would start to give, and being that we don't have a whole lot of money to send it to the shop, it never ran since and we had numerous people working on it, but I still haven't heard my car start since.
In the long run I ended up giving my 1st car to my husband, for his 91 Ford truck that don't run, why? you may ask, in hopes that we could get that started, but that too never ran either, silly huh?
but I would like you to overhaul my husbands Camero because this guys really deserves it, he does anything to keep our little family together. He joined the army 3 yrs ago, and was in Iraq for a year and in August he will be getting our of the army, even before he joined he was a volunteer firefighter, substitute teacher, bus driver, cook, and he even was a cement truck driver. all in all I would like to give back to him for all that he has done with this family and his country, give back to him, for all his hard work over all the years of struggling to get somewhere in life.
I know he deserves it so much I would like to see the look on his face just to see it all souped up and started! ha ! ha ! thank you much sincerly Misty Rooks

Love The show!
My best friend Moved to Az. and Hauled his 19 year old Toyota covertable ( I knew this was his 1st true Love)Poor car- she has a hole in the top, needs new brakes, body work, and finally her a/c gave out in the Hot Az climate.
John has always said he would fix her up-but being in Sales for a living- everything else is more important-
The other thing that suffers is his dating life-
Most women won't date a guy without "safe"car-NICE GUY, SAD CAR! UGH.
HOW CAN I SIGN HIM UP! LORD KNOW THIS BOY NEEDS HIS CAR OVERHAULED! :)

I bought my husband a 1976 Ford F150 pickup. (That's what he said he wanted!) After a couple of years, I got him big tires and a 4 inch lift (That's what he said he wanted!)
Now here we are and ...he wants a new truck. No No No! His truck is what he wants and thats what he gets. But I am willing to ask you guys to help me out.
He sees his friends at work and they drive Big, Nice trucks and he pulls up in his Beater!!! I would love for my husband to pull up at work in the biggest, baddest trucks and we'll see who's laughing now! And bisides I would be the best wife a man could ask for. :)

My friend has a 1969 camaro. He had it for about 5-6 years and he has not done anything for it, but let it sit in the back yard and rust. I keep telling him lets get it done, so that we can cruise together but he never gets it done. So if you can help him, it would mean alot to me. PLEASE!

Dear Overhaulin'
Congratulations on such a great show. I would like to know, what does it take to get overhauled?
My husband has this El Camino I'm not sure what year it is, but I sure do know it definately needs a makeover, he's been trying for so long to be able to fix it and just can't seem to do so due to our financial situation. I have been disabled for awhile and can't really help much, but I could try to get his car overhauled, it would be his dream come true!! His b-day is coming up June 14 and it would be the greatest gift ever, if you were to take this into consideration it would really be appreciated I hope to hear from you soon.
Thank You

Thanks for Your Time,

My husband just purchased our first car, a 1893 Villatrox Busgbee-Billabond. The problems is the Billabond. It needs thrice hogshead of capricoil to churn, and manually churning takes too much time in the mornings that I am often late for work.

Dear Overhaulin Great show I realy thought the fames on the search and rescue truck were awsome. I have a 84 TA I bought and after replacing the moter with a 305HO and the rear end with a 373 10 bolt pozi rebuilt calipers on all 4 corners and numerus other addons I still cant seem to got the car to look or preform the way a TA should. The body isn't to bad very little rust for an 84. I thought I would give this car to my wife to be and then I con buy myselfe another car. I wanted to fix it up and make it relyable for her and repaint it in her favorite color. I just dont have the place or time to do anything working 2nd shift and keeping up with house repairs. If I say pretty please and beg and plead would you guys please consider working on my TA???? PLEASE..??? THANK YOU and I can't wait to watch your next show.... keep up the great work. croddykid@yahoo.com

not
the
"Overhaulin'"
website.
Stupid fucking hicks.
I believe I've spoken my peace on the matter.

Love,Love,Love the show. My husband is a Waco and Wylie Fireman who likes his trucks beefy. We have 3 Ford trucks-(2)150's and (1)350 diesel. My fireman is the Best(Truly the Best)Fireman. There is no one like my Richard. (Picture) John Wayne, Michael Landon, and Arnold Schwarzenegger all rolled into one man and you have Richard Tupy. He asks for nothing and will help anyone, at anytime regardless of who they are. People like him don't get back what they give, so I thought if you were looking to come to Texas and feel like doing a Monster fire truck. We'd love to see Ya'll. Sincerly, Mrs. 2P

Thank You,
Toni Duncan

Hi my name is Nicky someone told me your show is filmed out of Maimi Florida. I live in south Floida.

Hello,
My husband is now watching Overhaulin and never misses a program. I am quietly E-Mailing you to find out if you ever travel to Canada to do your show. If you do, my husband, Blake, has a 1971 Monte Carlo with about 70,000 km but it needs some of your "sweet magic".
Thanks for listening!!
Yours Pam T.

Before insulting people about stupidity, grammar mistakes, and the like, please consider using correct grammar in your own post.
When properly conjugated verbs are applied, "if this WAS" becomes "if this WERE".
Thank you.

I STARTED TO ASK FOR ANOVERHAUL ON MY 89 CORSICA BECAUSE I'M ON DISABILITY AND THE CAR IS GOING AND I CAN'T AFFORD A NEW ONE. I DECIDED, I WOULD RATHER PLEAD FOR A REQUEST FOR MY LONGTIME PARTNER OF 38 YRS, HE IS A WONDERFUL MAN WHO DOES EVERYTHING FOR ME AND ASKS NOTHING FOR HIMSELF. HE HAS A 94 CHEVY CHEYENNE THAT HE KEEPS MAINTAINED AND IT LOOKS GOOD BUT MECHANICALLY THERES ALWAYS SOMETING TO BE FIXED. HE IS SO BUSY TRYING TO HELP ME IN EVERYWAY HE CAN'T AFFORD TO HAVE IT FIXED PROPERLY. I LOVE HIM MORE THEN WORDS COULD POSSIBLY DESCRIBE AND I WOULD LOVE THIS OVERHAUL FOR HIM AS HE IS SO GENEROUS TO ME AND HIS FAMILY THAT HE DESERVES ALITTLE PIECE OF MIND AND DOESN'T NEED TOWORRY ABOUT HIS TRUCK ANYMORE. WE LOVE TO FISH AND WON'T TAKE THE CHANCE OF GOING ON THE BEACH WITH THE TRUCK BECAUSE WE MAY GET STUCK THERE. SO. PLEASE FIND IT IN YOUR HEARTS TO CONSIDER MY PLEA FOR HIS PIECE OF MY. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION. KAREN P.

In 1999, I was diagnosed with a rare form of Leukemia. I've knocked on death's door several times and have lived. My husband Philip has been trying to restore his old chevy blazer for some time now but with my medical bills topping 218 thousand, he stays broke. He has been through thick and thin and has never complained about doing without. I have had a bone marrow transplant to cure me but it didn't work. I've lost my job and unable to work so he's the sole provider for a family of 5. Please make my dream of seeing Philip's devotion to me pay off by having his blazer overhauled!

Hello, I have recently been introduced to your show Overhauled. I bought a 1980 Firebird Esprit for my wife about 1 year ago. It needs some work but as I am active duty Army and spend alot of time deployed I don't have the time to do the work. My wife has the hardest job in the world being a military spouse and being left behind. In the 5 years we have been married we have been seperated approx 2 and 1/2 years of it, give or take a month or two. Thank you for your consideration and time.

Hello, I'd give anything to have you guys 'overhaul' my husband's car. He has tried to get it done for years. It's an 86 Camaro. He was told 3 years ago that he had cancer of the pancreas and only had 6 weeks to live. Well, he's still here! We've since had a baby girl. All my friends tell me he's a 'perfect' candidate for this show. He's an extremely hard worker and has been through quite a bit the last few years. Thank you for your time! *Number removed*

2. ?????
3. Profit!!!

I have been trying to get this car restored for 14 years, but I like sex too much, OOPS... four children later I have made no progress. DAMN! HOw do I sign up for this show???

But if you are intereseted . . .email me. Thanks! Zac's mom
