Mom's Visit Continues
Mom is still here and making me spend even more money. Yesterday after lunch with Thairin at the fabulous Musso &38; Franks we went to Ikea. I purchased a stand for my TV, a chair and some little things.
Then today we went to Pier 1 to pick up some curtains for my big door. We also stopped by Home Depot for some plants and a tape measure.
The place looks so much better it's amazing, and it doesn't look too Ikea, which is always a concern.
The best thing is I finally framed and mounted the photo book that the late great Nate (not so late) gave me almost a year ago. Originally meant to be bound in a book, I thought I would destroy them that way. So instead they are just simply framed and hung around the room at eye level. Some have prints on both sides, so now and again I can switch it up. The best part is that they are all pictures of Chicago, to remind me of home.
Combine this with my new wall clock to replace the one left in Chicago, and I feel right at home.
She may have made me spend all my savings, but I think I'll be able to live here a bit longer now.
More photos of the completed room on page two of my gallery.
